Al Jazira Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium (Arabic: ستاد محمد بن زايد) is a multi-purpose stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is currently used mostly for football and cricket matches and is the home ground of Al Jazira Club. It name after the current Crown Prince HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The stadiums original capacity was 15,000 but it is currently going through an expansion stage which will increase the stadiums capacity to an all seater 60,000 ultra-modern air conditioned sporting arena, and the expansion program also includes two residential towers to be built on the stadium. Half of the project was completed by December 2006 and hosted the 18th gulf cup, a tournament later won by the hosts UAE, where the stadium held 24,000 spectators, and it is currently undergoing the final stages of the expansion.
